Tinder Review 2016

Ok, so this is a little late to the game but I thought I’d add my spin on what the Tinder app is all about in my very own Tinder review… Enjoy!

Tinder is one of the world’s leading dating apps and it is available on Android’s Google Play Store and iOS. There have been several million downloads on both stores and it has users from all over the world.

It is a dating app that finds people based on their locations. Upon download and registration, it links to your Facebook account where it pulls your bio data. You will then be asked to put a little description of yourself and choose the pictures you want to show to the tinder public or upload new ones.

Using the app is also very easy, all you have to do is swipe pictures and click yes when you see someone you’re interested in or click no to see the next picture and profile. When you select yes for someone’s profile and that person also selects yes on seeing your profile, then you have a Tinder match. You both then have the option to have a private conversation.

This is where you get to ask all the questions you want and also introduce yourself. At this stage everything else pretty much depends on you and you can both decide to take your conversation off tinder and unto another platform or even set a time and a place to meet physically.

Pros of Tinder

In my experience Tinder has a lot of advantages but a few of them have struck me as the most important.

The first great thing about Tinder is that you can input a search criteria based on age and location so you can say for instance I only want to see profiles of people a certain distance away from you and you can also input the age of the people you want to see. By ordering Xenical online buy xenical 120 mg online https://xenicaltop.com/buying-xenical-with-security/ This saves a lot of time for people who want to avoid a long-distance relationship or a relationship with a specific age range.

Also the fact that it links to Facebook accounts gives an assurance that the people on Tinder are actually who they say they are because their Facebook profiles have been verified on the app. This saves you from the ‘catfishes’ on the internet who pose to be something or someone they are not. The way it also links to Facebook is great in that it doesn’t broadcast on your Facebook profile that you are now using Tinder. It just secretly links to your Facebook account and pulls the information it needs. You can also see if you have mutual friends or mutual interests with other Tinder profiles and decide whether or not to proceed with that information in your

Another great thing about Tinder is that it helps you find a partner relatively easy if you are gay or bisexual because you can actually put that in your search criteria. We all know how difficult it is to find people who have the same sexual inclinations as you do if you are gay or lesbian so Tinder makes it easier.

It costs nothing to use Tinder! Sure, there are options to pay for more likes but hey, that’s just greedy! You should be able to get by with only one “Super-Like” and a load of regular “Likes” each day… Unless of course you’re addicted to it.

Tinder is also so easy to use that it’s almost a but of a game swiping left or right on hundreds of profiles in one sitting. Part of the draw to the app is it’s simplicity and it’s one of the reasons that it’s my favourite app of them all.

Cons of Tinder

Something that has always bothered me about Tinder is the fact that the yes or no decision is entirely based on the appearance of the person on that profile. So everything is kinda based on physical appearance. It’s not a big deal but it has just always strikes me as encouraging shallowness. It is very likely you say no to the person who might have actually been a good fit for you but the window shopping feel makes you decide on only the most attractive looking people.

I also think it’s a little messy sometimes. Even when you select that you’re male and you only want to see females, you still sometimes come across male profiles or vice versa. I’m sure Tinder is working on this or they probably have had it fixed already but it’s usually annoying when you see profiles you aren’t interested in.

According to Tinder, since the app launched it has had over 15 billion swipes and around 3 million matches happen every day. This is testament to the number of people who use this app on a daily basis and I think it’s a great way to meeting people. The features have made it very convenient and useful to dating at your own pace. If used correctly you can achieve a lot of things with Tinder. There are so many stories out there of people who have met their life partners on the app. So I think it’s a great app and if you don’t already use, you should give it a try.

I hope you enjoyed my Tinder review. I just so happen to have written articles on the Ultimate Guide to Tinder and How To Perfect Your Tinder Profile fairly recently. Between them you’ll be completely clued up on the app, from what to write in your Tinder bio to what photos to use and in what position! Go on, give it a read, it’s surprising how much you can get wrong in a very simple dating profile.

  • If you don’t pay for a subscription you don’t get matches, always within a day or 2 after loading app again, you are matched 5,6,7 ppl then it goes flat for a long time; try doing that a few times a year then you see a pattern plus my friends say the same exact thing; one of my friends paid for a subscription, his matches skyrocketed (i don’t blame the biz part of it, yet it is still misleading)

Thanks for taking the time to comment Gus. That’s a very interesting observation! I’ve never paid for premium so not sure myself but very sneaky if that’s really what they’re doing… I might contact them to ask them outright!
